Abstract

A Journey in Becoming a Mathematics Teacher Educator: Teacher education as a field of study is only beginning to develop. Many people in the field have had little training in how to train teachers. Recently however, there have been several efforts in professional development of teacher educators as a shift in focus has emerged in who is teaching the teachers. This paper explores the author's experiences in professional development opportunities for teacher educators and the best practices in each of these with recommendations for project leaders developing professional development for teacher educators.
